Competitive Salary: Band 7 - $118,508.69 p.a. + 12% superannuation
Location: Council Office in Sandringham, with some flexibility to work from home

About the Role:

The key purpose of the Systems and Accounts Team Leader is to provide operational leadership to the team administering the client management software system, service data reporting, accounts and related support services for Community Care. As Council’s subject matter expert for Carelink+ and associated systems, the role provides specialist advice on system capability and future requirements and leads data governance, reporting and continuous improvement to support service planning and operational and strategic decision-making.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the Systems and Accounts team to deliver effective systems administration, reporting and operational support across Community Care.
  • Providing specialist advice on Carelink+ and associated systems, including current capabilities and future requirements.
  • Managing system upgrades in liaison with the IT department, configuration and enhancements, working closely with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Strengthening data quality, governance and reporting to support service planning, compliance and informed decision-making.
  • Driving continuous improvement through streamlined processes, automation and staff training to improve efficiency and service delivery. 

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

  • Tertiary qualification in IT or similar or related discipline would be well regarded.
  • Two to five years’ experience in staff leadership.
  • Substantial experience in the management and development of system functions, administration and related processes and reporting.
  • Previous experience in project managing system upgrades and improvements would be well regarded.
  • Knowledge and understanding of client management systems and demonstrated capability to adapt and learn new systems.
  • Sound working knowledge of all facets of the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience in initiating, formulating, and implementing new processes including developing user advice.

 Mandatory pre-employment requirements:

  • Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
  • Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check.
