Immediate Start - Multiple casual after hours roles available. Rewarding and engaging work to assist older people living at home with personal care tasks.

• Casual work 3 to 4 days per week
• Competitive salary of $40.94 per hour plus penalty rates + paid travel time, paid kilometres and paid training time
• Minimum availability requirements from 5.00pm to 8.30pm Monday to Friday essential with opportunity for additional hours earlier in the day and some regular weekend availability.
• Regular clients located in the Sandringham, Brighton, Hampton and Beaumaris areas

About the Role:

Reporting to a Community Care Team Leader you will provide practical household tasks and personal assistance to older people living at home.

You will provide professional, respectful and high-quality assistance to allow our clients to live their best life at home in the community.

You must be willing to undergo a police check, have a driver’s license, your own vehicle with third party insurance and have received at least two COVID-19 vaccination doses or proof of medical exemption. In addition, you will need to obtain an employment-based Working with Children check if successful and prior to commencement. Cost will be reimbursed if employed.

You will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking a range of practical household and personal care tasks.
  • Ensuring clients receive a flexible and individualised response in accordance with their support plan.
  • Monitoring the ongoing health and well-being of clients and their carers and reporting concerns or observations.
  • Maintaining client dignity and respecting confidentiality at all times.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) or equivalent as a minimum is mandatory as well as a First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain upon employment
  • Ability to work and communicate with older people, their carers and families
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to follow guidelines
  • Demonstrated initiative in undertaking required tasks within available time constraints
  • Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations
