Join Our Compassionate Team at Bayside Care and Support dedicated to providing high-quality care to our residents. Utilise your experience as a Care Worker for Bayside City Council where aged care staff are truly valued.

What we can do for you:

  • Multiple permanent, part-time roles available with flexible hours.
  • Rewarding and engaging work to assist older people living at home.
  • Above award hourly rate of $31.88 p/h with annual increases.
  • Paid travel time, km reimbursement, paid sick and annual leave, public holiday penalty rates and superannuation.
  • Regular clients within Sandringham, Brighton, Hampton and Beaumaris areas.
  • Paid training provided plus uniforms, mobile phone and PPE equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate and individualised care to elderly residents, respecting their dignity, autonomy, and preferences.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing environment that promotes residents' well-being and social engagement.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for residents.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of resident care activities and report any changes in their condition to the appropriate personnel.

What we need from you:

  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) or equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to pass police check and working with children check (we will pay for these).
  • You need your own car and driver’s license, this is essential.
  • You have or are willing to have at least 2 doses of COVID vaccine
  • Be able to work at least 4 days per week between 9am – 3pm (with flexibility)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with clients, families, and carers.
