Competitive Salary: Band 5 - $83,038.80 p.a + 12% superannuation
Location: Corporate Centre in Sandringham, with the flexibility to work from home

About the Role:

As the Team Leader Business Support, you will coordinate and supervise the day-to-day operations of the Business Support team within Amenity Protection.

You’ll ensure efficient administrative services, support staff capability, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the team.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will balance team coordination, operational delivery, and stakeholder engagement.

You will be responsible for:

  • Lead and support a team delivering business support functions across Amenity Protection
  • Allocate workloads and monitor performance to meet service standards and timeframes
  • Oversee the processing of permits, registrations, and renewals in line with legislation
  • Provide guidance, coaching and on-the-job training to support team capability
  • Manage escalated customer enquiries and resolve issues
  • Contribute to process improvements and support system and operational changes

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

  • Experience coordinating administrative functions and supporting team performance
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working within a regulatory, compliance or local government environment (desirable)
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and solve problems effectively
  • A strong commitment to customer service and continuous improvement

Mandatory pre-employment requirements: 

  • Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check
  • Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check
