Employment Status: Permanent
Days & Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, totaling 38 Hours per week
Competitive Salary: Band 7 ($111,166 - $124,534 p.a.) dependent on experience + 11.5% superannuation.
Location: Corporate Centre in Sandringham, with the flexibility to work from home.

About the Role:
An opportunity has opened to join the Strategic Planning Team at Bayside City Council.
Reporting to the Strategic Planning Coordinator, you will use your creative urban thinking and land use planning policy expertise to contribute and lead the response to the State Government's ongoing planning reforms.
With the recent announcements of the State Government’s Final Housing Targets, the release of Plan for Victoria, and expansion of the Activity Centre Program, Council is seeking a passionate and highly knowledgeable senior strategic planner whom will work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders regarding the shaping of policy and planning controls to appropriately respond to these major State government announcements.
You will also help lead and support the development and implementation of strategies and policies to guide the future of the built environment in Bayside. As a senior member of the team, you will use your relevant qualifications, demonstrated abilities and experience to manage end to end projects and a project team. You will collaborate cross functionally, and support and mentor junior staff through active sharing of knowledge and by harnessing talents and strengths to deliver exceptional outcomes.
