Days & Hours of Work: 3 days per week totalling 22.8 hours per week
Competitive Salary: Band 6 - $98,867.71 p.a ($59,320.63 pro rata) + 11.5% superannuation
Location: Corporate Centre in Sandringham, with the flexibility to work from home

About the Role:

As Executive Assistant to the Director Community & Customer Experience you will provide support to the Director and the leadership team of the Division and contribute to the success of broader initiatives and functions of the team.

You will provide professional administrative support to the Director, ensure information flow and communication is effective, coordinate key meetings, and liaise with staff and leaders with Council report preparation and priority correspondence responsibilities.

We are looking for a highly organised, dynamic, customer focused and skilled Executive Assistant that builds strong organisational relationships, has exceptional interpersonal and time management skills and with an eye for detail.

You will thrive in a community service and customer focused environment working with specialists across a broad range of community services, library and arts services, community wellbeing, customer experience, customer service, community engagement, and communications. You will be capable of managing a busy workload and actively show initiative for improving the way that we work.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing confidential, accurate and efficient personal assistance.
  • Providing administrative support services to Divisional Managers and staff.
  • Ensuring quality and timely responses to correspondence.
  • Coordinating Council report processes for the Division in alignment with the organisational agenda management system.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

  • Highly professional, politically savvy, displays confidence when dealing with others with well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sets and manages competing priorities, plans workloads, meets deadlines and achieves outcomes through the efficient use of time with strong attention-to-detail and a focus on getting things right first-time.
  • Resourceful, innovative, and proactive, thinks and works independently with minimal direction and is highly collaborative in a team environment.
  • Exceptional customer focus, technically savvy, results oriented with personal drive and integrity.
  • A strong desire to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Mandatory pre-employment requirements:

  • Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
  • Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check.
  • Psychometric testing.
