Employment Status: Fixed term, 12 months (parental leave cover). 
Days & Hours of Work: M-F, totalling 38 hours per week.
Competitive Salary: Band 7 - $114,501 p.a + 12% superannuation.
Location: Corporate Centre in Sandringham, with limited flexibility to work from home.

About the Role:

The Rostering and Service Commencement Team Leader provides operational leadership to staff responsible for a range of service delivery functions and programs that assist older people to remain living independently at home.  This includes oversight of the intake, client onboarding and rostering staff. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing professional advice, leadership and support to rostering, intake and service commencement staff.
  • Establishing and rostering of services in accordance with program requirements.
  • Identifying and establishing systems to ensure efficient and consistent work practices within a change and growth environment.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with all stakeholders through excellent customer service and a continuous improvement culture. 

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

  • Tertiary qualification in business management, social sciences, health or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated staff leadership and management skills and a capacity to support and develop a team through a change environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the aged and disability services context from a conceptual to an operational and practice level.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to use and learn various aged care client management systems.
  • Ability to resolve issues through discussion and team work and to gain the cooperation of others in achieving outcomes.
  • Ability to review, develop and document processes to maximise effectiveness of client outcomes and resource efficiency. 
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience in driving a positive customer service culture.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.

Mandatory pre-employment requirements:

  • Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
  • Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check.
