Days & Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, totalling 38 hours per week
Competitive Salary: Band 4 - $74,980.49 p.a. + 12% superannuation
Location: Corporate Centre in Sandringham, with the flexibility to work from home

About the Role:

Bayside City Council is seeking a motivated and skilled Support Officer to join our Development Services Support Team.  Reporting to the Senior Team Leader Development Services Support, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Supporting the technical functions of the Planning & Building Teams
  • Optimising efficiency through continuous improvement for internal and external customers

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

  • An interest in playing a key role in maintaining and improving the liveability and environment of Bayside
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a very high standard of customer service
  • Ability to work on a number of activities simultaneously and be organised
  • Demonstrated ability to support the processing of applications for development and/or other types of customer service requests
  • Demonstrated ability to use word processing, spreadsheets, as well as records management tools
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively to a team environment
  • Relevant practical work experience

Mandatory pre-employment requirements:

  • Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check
  • Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check
