Days & Hours of Work: Monday – Friday totalling 38 hours per week
Competitive Salary: Band 8 - $133,367.11 + 12% superannuation
Location: Corporate Centre in Sandringham, with the flexibility to work from home

Our Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has become available to lead the Asset Protection team for a 12-month period in the role of Coordinator. During this time, you will play a key role in the leadership and coordination of the Asset Protection team as well as forming part of the broader Development Services Leadership team. The Asset Protection team are responsible for the processing of the Asset Protection Permit, Road Occupation type permits (Plant & Equipment, Hoarding & Occupation, Out of Hours and Works Zone) as well as the Road Opening type permits (Vehicle Crossing, Stormwater Tapping, Road Opening). In addition, the team is responsible for the enforcement of various clauses within our Neighbourhood Local Law 2021 which relate to construction activities within this municipality. The Asset Protection team are a high achieving and fast paced group of professionals and therefore as their Coordinator your support and guidance will be crucial to ensure the continued smooth delivery of the service.
About the Role:
The Coordinator Asset Protection role works across a wide array of internal and external stakeholders, including service authorities to advocate for the Asset Protection team and the care of Council’s assets. This collaborative approach helps to find useful solutions to new or convoluted issues which frequently occur. The coordinator also reviews and allocates incoming work to the specific officer or liaises with the appropriate teams for correct allocation. The coordinator is also responsible for monthly KPI reporting and digital improvements to the team’s online platform.
The role entails various levels of multi-tasking and competing demands which need to be actioned accordingly. In addition, the successful handling of escalated customer complaints from a wide range of customers is essential in carrying out the duties required within this role.
