Days & Hours of Work: 19 hours per week minimum with opportunity for additional hours based on funding
Competitive Salary: Band 4 - $74,980 per annum pro-rata + 12% superannuation
Location: Council office in Sandringham, with some limited flexibility to work from home

About the Role:

The key purpose of the Assessment and Care Finder Intake and Administration Officer is to facilitate service access for people of all ages who may be experiencing vulnerability or younger people with a disability.  This includes:    

  • Accepting referrals and onboarding new clients, particularly those referred through the Care Finder Program. 
  • Provision of excellent customer service through phone and face to face contact with potential and existing clients, families, agencies and internal staff. 
  • Undertaking administration tasks to support the effective and efficient operations of the team. 

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

  • Demonstrated experience working with older people and people with a disability in a community setting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of community based aged care and disability services and programs.
  • Excellent communication skills.   
  • The ability to work as part of a team, and a strong commitment to maintaining a high standard customer service culture.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with CareLink Plus client management software application would be an advantage
  • Business administration qualification would be well regarded and/or three plus years’ experience in administration in a community service role. 

Mandatory pre-employment requirements:

  • Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check and ongoing checks every three years.
  • Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check.
  • Valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
