Days & Hours of Work: 2 days a week (days negotiable) totalling 11 hours per week
Competitive Salary: Band 4 - $72,796.59 pro-rata + 11.5% superannuation
Location: Council Office in Sandringham, with the flexibility to undertake occasional work from home

About the Role:

Reporting to the Systems and Account Team Leader you will ensure customer enquiries relating to aged care accounts and billing are appropriately addressed, track overdue invoices and follow up on them in a timely manner. Undertake other administrative tasks to support the business systems team as required. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Responding to incoming phone calls and emails regarding client account queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Working with clients to resolve overdue accounts and escalate unresolved or complex debt issues in accordance with organisational procedures.
  • Processing adjustments and corrections as required.
  • Undertaking administration tasks as required to support the effective and efficient operations of the business systems team.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

  • Experience using aged care client management systems desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in an administration role, preferably in a Community Services environment.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including an ability to communicate with staff and older people from diverse backgrounds. 
  • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy in administrative tasks, data entry, and record-keeping.

Mandatory pre-employment requirements:

  • Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
  • Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check.
